What Undergraduate Students Need to Know

Undergraduate Students registered for nine or more hours are REQUIRED to carry health insurance through either the TCU Aetna Student Health Insurance Plan or an individual/family plan that provides coverage comparable to the TCU Plan and remains in effect throughout the 2017-2018 academic year.

If there is an individual/family policy in effect that meets the requirements and a decision is made to decline/waive participation in the Student Health Insurance, the student MUST enter detailed information about his/her private insurance online by the fall deadline, 5 P.M. August 25, 2017.

To view the insurance plan details, visit the Plan Details page.

Students who have not provided private insurance information by the specified deadline will be automatically enrolled in and billed the fall semesters’s premium of $1,015.00.

Detailed deadline dates are e-mailed to each student.  Please watch for all e-mails coming from the Health Center.

Undergraduate students taking less than 9 hours have the option to ELECT the TCU Student Health Insurance Plan.  To view the insurance plan details, visit the Plan Details page.

Health Services at TCU’s Brown Lupton Health Center are available to all currently enrolled, degree seeking students regardless of their insurance coverage.
