All incoming students must comply with the vaccination requirements to register for classes at TCU.

Both dates and records must be submitted on the TCU Student Health Portal. Students must enter the dates of their vaccinations and upload supporting documents.

TCU recommends the COVID-19 vaccine in addition to the CDC Adult (or Adolescent) immunization schedule.

What if I can’t find my childhood vaccination records?

If you are having trouble locating your records, you have three options:

1. Produce the records. As the second and third options involve getting immunizations or lab tests, we always recommend taking that extra step to locate your records. If you are certain you are unable to produce your records, you still have options.
2. Get immunized now. If you are unsure if you received the MMR scheduled vaccines as a child, you should get immunized now. In adults, the MMR vaccine schedule is two doses separated by 28 days.
3. Prove your immunity. If you are sure you did get the MMR vaccines, you can prove your immunity through blood tests called titers. You can have these drawn at your family doctor.

All incoming students must submit a full health history form, located on the TCU Student Health Portal.

Using the TCU Student Health Portal

In order to come into compliance with the university’s health requirements, students must submit their health history and vaccination records on the TCU Student Health Portal. Students may access the portal using their TCU username and password.

When you have logged in to the portal, you will need to do three things:

1. Go to the Immunizations page and enter the dates of your Meningitis vaccination and your two MMR vaccinations.
   
2. Go to the Upload page to submit the corresponding vaccination records.
   
3. Go to the Forms page and complete the Student Health History form.
   

Note: If you do not have a TCU username and password, you should begin at newuser.tcu.edu. It will take 24 hours after creating your username and password for you to then be able to log in to the Student Health Portal.

Vaccination Exemptions

• Students born before 1957 are exempt from the MMR (Measles, Mumps, & Rubella) requirement.
• Students older than 22 are exempt from the Meningitis requirement.
• Non-exempt students with immunity to Measles and Mumps with missing vaccination records may submit titer results proving their immunity.
• Students with a medical contraindication are exempt from the contraindicated requirement with the TCU Vaccination Exemption Form and corresponding documents from your healthcare provider.
• Students with a reason of conscience affidavit must submit a copy of their affidavit online and must deliver the original to the health center by mail or in person attached to the TCU Vaccination Exemption Form. 

Veterans and Active Duty Military Exemption

The United States Armed Forces have higher immunization standards than TCU. For their convenience, students who are veterans or active duty military may submit proof of their service in lieu of the MMR requirement. These can be uploaded to the patient portal the same way as an Immunization Record above. Note that students under 22 still need to provide exact records of Meningitis A vaccination in compliance with state law.
